On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Rear Admiral/ Hassan Abd El kader Falah, Chairman and Managing Director of the Egyptian Tanker Company, and Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for scientific cooperation.

The MOU aims to foster collaboration in areas of mutual interest, particularly in training activities that benefit both parties. This includes training of the Academy graduates and students at the Egyptian Tanker Company vessels, as well as training of the Egyptian Tanker Company employees through various training and educational programs offered by the Academy.

The MOU also includes training for the Academy maritime sector lecturers who possess technical and practical experience in tankers at the Egyptian Tanker Company vessels, with the goal of enhancing their training and practical skills.

Furthermore, the MOU also aims to provide the Egyptian Tanker Company with specialized expertise and consultations in the field of maritime transport, specifically regarding the new construction project for gas tankers, and provide with the necessary market studies for the operation of ETC vessels, with the goal of expanding the Egyptian fleet.
